What Customers Say About HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer:
|
|
Choose a better printer. Multiple processes run as daemons and often consume huge amounts of CPU, and they also often will not shut down properly.3) I bought it for its networking capability, BUT. This is one of the worst printers I have ever had the misfortune to buy. 1) The installer executables are HUGE and the installation process takes FOREVER.2) Typical shoddy HP software runs as if it's spyware. If your router is power-cycled then the printer must also be power-cycled, and quite often, pressing the power button does nothing, and I have to unplug it from the wall.4) Many of the advanced networking features just plain don't work (probably because of the shoddy HP software on the workstation end).5) It has a sheet feeder but often fails to correctly feed sheets.I could go on, but you get the point.
It prints slower than any simple printer I've ever used. I would never recommend this machine to anyone, ever EVERY single time I try and print something I get a paper jam or a carriage jam -no exageration. But the most frustrating part are the carriage jams.
But once in a while it prints all types of junk characters esp. The scanning, copying and faxing features work great. It is really annoying when you are trying to print important documents from the web and it just doesn't print anything humanly readable. I probably have to think hard before buying another HP printer. It's supposed to be the best brand out there, but my first all-in-one experience from them is quite disappointing. when printing from web pages.
I will think twice about buying an HP printer in the future. This is a real pain when you have to copy smaller items like receipts. Now, whenever I need to copy or scan anything, I have to use the document feeder. The software is also very bloated and takes forever to install. I've had this printer for about 3 years, and only use it for occasional printing, copying, and faxing. Very recently the printer just decided it would stop copying and scanning anything from the glass/platen. Very disappointing.
The printing is crisp and the color printing is quite good. I have had this for 6 months and love it. I don't get the negative reviews.
